Preamble

​

In a world that encourages boxes, coloring within the lines, and walking the tried and true, we the Visionary Artistes gather to declare our devotion to the pursuit of creativity as a sacred path. We honor the remembrance that we were created by the Creator to create by vowing to express our true nature through making art, making mischief, and making magic. We envision a community dedicated to illuminating the divine creative spark within and sharing that spark with the world around us. We are the canvas, the painter and the brush. We are the cosmic explorers, daring to dive into the mystery and emerging with gifts that further the expansion of consciousness itself. We are the wayshowers and bearers of creativity’s torch, lighting the way back home through art, play, and unabashed liberated expression.

 

Article I: 

We honor and recognize our creative journeys as directly connected to our spiritual paths. We believe that the act of creation is an act of communion with the divine. Artistry is our prayer, and the divine is our muse. By allowing ourselves to express the fullness of our creative selves, we forge a unique and direct connection to Source itself. 

 

Article II: 

We believe that the truest art, or expression of creativity, arises when we view ourselves as a mere vessel for the voice of god. We practice emptying ourselves of our small self and allowing ourselves to be filled with the expression of our true Self. We are not in charge, we are in surrender to the creative spirit itself.

 

Article III:

We recognize ideas to be their own entities. They are not ours, when they come they are our sacred visitors. We are in service to them. And sometimes they come to us to be shared, transmitted, or offered to another. 

 

Article IV: 

We celebrate the diverse masks that creativity wears. We understand art to be much more than its traditional definition. We recognize the sacred creativity not only in dance, poetry, theatre, oil painting, and photography. We recognize it too in community building, entrepreneurship,  in the healing arts, in the creation of rituals, in the pursuit of scientific inquiry. We understand creativity as its original essence; as raw creative force - the very aliveness that brings ideas into being. We honor the unique rhythm and flair of each individual artist and do not seek to determine what is and isn’t creativity. 

 

Article V: 

We understand and honor the creative process to be nothing less than pure alchemy. We take the raw materials of mundane existence into artistic gold. And through this transformation the truths of human existence and the divine mysteries are revealed to us. 

 

Article VI: 

Community is our bedrock. We come together, remembering that each and every single one of us has messages to deliver to one another (Celestine Prophecy, anyone?). We recognize that we did not come together by accident. We embrace and nurture the collective energy that flows through us all. Like spiderwebs and mycelial networks, we turn to nature to inform our way of being. Through co-creation, we find the strength and inspiration needed to transcend the limitations of individuality, while still honoring our unique voices. Individual puzzle pieces coming together to form the puzzle. 

 

Article VII:

Sometimes the creative birthing process can feel like death. Sharing your insides with the outside isn’t always rainbows and unicorns. Having people that get us, that are as committed to our expansion as we are, and that wildly celebrate us is often the missing piece to see something go from mere vision to actual manifestation. We the Visionary Artistes need one another. 

 

Article VIII:

Our home is a sanctuary, a haven - a place for visionary artistes to not only connect, but explore, experiment, and evolve, as they themselves create towards the evolution of humanity. It is a nurturing space, providing resources and support systems for wild, creative leaders to flourish and find kin. It is not a safe space. You are your safe space, baby. Welcome home. 

 

Article IX: 

As Visionary Artistes, we know and honor that our work is not just our own. It is that which lights the way for others. Our art, our voice, our expression illuminates the way. We share our wisdom, our insights, and our artistic creations with the world, understanding that this too will guide others towards their own spiritual and creative expansions. 

 

Article X:

Above all, our creative expressions are born from love, birthed through love, and offered back to love. Along every step of the process, we remember and return to the heart. Through the breath of our creative spirit, we invite the divine to manifest its face here on earth. When lost, we return to truth. When confused, we trust in the heart. When we have forgotten, we remember. Through our work and our beingness we strive to inspire and remind others that in the voice of the creative spirit, we can find the purest manifestation of love and truth.
