So Why the House? 

Honestly I’m not in the bizzness of convincing you to do anything that doesn’t set your soul alight, so if convincing is what you need, this probably isn’t the space for you. 

What I will share with you though is what might happen for you within this magical creative cauldron with some fun imaginative play. Strap in, boo.

Let’s say you are a an actor who organizes 2 day devised experiences that allow people to explore their shadow selves. ShadowPlay let’s call it. You’ve been wanting to take ShadowPlay on a summer tour but have no idea where to start. One day you receive the invitation to do the workshop at a coffee shop after hours. You really want to do it outside though. You find yourself getting frustrated at the limitations “why can’t things just go smoothly for me!”. So you pop into the house and you do the mindset reframe video “embracing limitations”. After the video you feel much more calm and in fact excited to think of all the new doors a coffee shop might offer. You decide to go to the monthly brainstorming hour to ask for support. Not only do you leave with 7 more ideas on how to market and take advantage of the coffee shop, but also how to leverage this to connect with more coffee shops and open an additional stream of income by selling baked goodies. You then go in to the private social network and invite anyone that’s close to the local area to attend. And since this is a delicious supportive mycelial web of creative community, three people sign up right away. 

OR MAYBE 

You are a psychedelic educator and you dream of creating a pop-up experience in which people take a microdose and then are led through an immersive experience of the human brain while on psychedelics. Think full-on Ms. Frizzle style. You know you’re ready to gather your team but you keep making excuses. Oop time to pop in to the house. One '[embodiment practice for grounding' + a 'permission slip to stop going at it alone' later you are feeling calm, centered, and reminded that we were never meant to birth visions alone. (And your lone wolf ego has been has been sufficiently subdued.) At the next creative play date you introduce your idea and immediately have three people who want to help collaborate - a sound engineer who has been dreaming of creating immersive soundscapes, a visual arts director who has been hungry for their next soul project, and someone who has the *perfect location* for a trial run. 

OR PERCHANCE 

You work a busy corporate job. You’re grateful for the flexibility and the hours but you find that your creative hobbies have fallen to the wayside in the meanwhile. You commit to attending every live co-working session and writing at least three poems during that time. After a month you realize you have in fact written twenty and you decide to start sharing in the private members art gallery. One day at a creative play date you are challenged to translate one of those poems into a drawing and you find that actually you really *love drawing*. Six months later, you have your first illustrated poetry zine and are regularly publishing online. 

The house is the place you go when you don’t want to deal with your mind gremlins on your own. A place where you go to get resourced and supported. A place where you go to reconnect with the magic that is unadulterated creative spirit. It’s a place where you go when you need to connect with like minded beings and not people who are going to tell you to be more “realistic”. 

Ultimately if you’re done lone-wolfing it. If you’re done letting doubt and fear stop you from taking action. If you’re done using perfectionism as an excuse, we’d love to have you boo thang.
